2017 FCA FLL Qualifier

The Fellowship Christian Academy (FCA) FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Hydro Dynamics Qualifier will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017.  Please visit the Perot Museum website to register for the Qualifier.  Qualifier registration opens on October 23rd.

Welcome to the Fellowship Christian Academy (FCA) FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Hydro Dynamics Qualifier.  The FCA Qualifier will be held on Saturday, December 2nd, 2017.  We are excited that we have been blessed with the opportunity to once again host an FLL Qualifier for the 5th year in a row and are looking forward to fun and exciting day.  We pray that each team participating has a wonderful day. Tournament Schedule

The tentative schedule for the tournament is as follows:

7:00 7:30 Volunteer Check-in and Breakfast
7:20 7:45 Volunteer Meeting (all volunteers except Judges and Referees)
7:30 8:30 Judge and Referee Meetings
8:00 8:30 Team Check-in and setup in Pits
8:15 8:30 Coaches Meeting
8:40 8:55 Welcome & Opening Ceremony
9:00 12:25 Robot Games and Judging Sessions
12:25 1:25 Lunch Break
1:25 Robot Games resume and Judging callbacks (if needed) begin

Pit Setup and Team Confirmation

Please take a moment to complete the Pit Setup and Team Confirmation form below.  This will allow you to request how your Pit is setup and to confirm or change your team name that will be used during the tournament by the Emcee and on the Scoreboard.  This also allows us to confirm the total number of kids on your team.  Total number of kids must match your official FIRST/FLL Roster that must be turned in at check-in or prior to check-in.  Teams are allowed to bring their own Practice Tables, but they must be setup with their assigned Pit.

Setup Options: Pit Setup Options         If you are not bringing a practice table or you plan on setting your practice table on top of the rectangular table provided, then select Option 1. If you have a practice table you plan to setup on the ground in your Pit, then select Option 2.

Concessions and Lunch

Concessions will be available throughout the day including coffee and breakfast pastries in the morning, and assorted drinks, chips, candy and cookies in the afternoon. Concessions are cash only.  Proceeds help support various FCA organizations and clubs. The following items will be available for purchase for lunch:

  • Nachos
  • Hot Dogs
  • BBQ Beef Sandwiches
  • Sausage on a Stick
  • Pizza by the Slice

No food or drink is allowed in the Pit Area or the Judging Area.  There is a dining area directly outside the Pit and Competition Area. Back to Top

FIRST/FLL Official Roster

All participating teams must provide a completed TIMS roster in order to participate in the Qualifier Complete the Team Member Registration on FIRST Team Information Management System (TIMS) website for all  your team members. Email a copy of the completed TIMS roster to info@fcarobotics.com.  This will expedite the check-in process the day of the Qualifier. Alternatively, a printed copy of the Roster from TIMS along with any necessary signed FIRST Consent and Release Forms can be turned in at time of check-in.  The completed forms can also be scanned in and emailed to us in advance as well.  Electronic copies submitted beforehand are preferred.
